A research team led by Prof. ZHAO Lanxiang, an IPM researcher and the executive director of the Support Center for Consultation Research of the CAS Institutes of Science and Development, has participated in the mid-term performance evaluation of the Outline of China’s National Plan for Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development (2010-2020).
At a press conference to mark the five-year enforcement of the Outline held by the Ministry of Education (MOE) on Dec. 4, Prof. Zhao showed the assessment results on the fulfillment of the Policy regarding Key Universities’ Special Recruitment in Poor Areas. While giving a brief review of the policy, she made an analysis of its features, performance, impacts and difficulties in its enforcement, and put forward policy recommendations.
Commissioned by MOE, CAS conducted the evaluation as a third-party organization from May to July 2015. Led by CAS Vice President DING Zhongli, the task was mainly carried out by the CAS Bureau of Frontier Science and Education and IPM.
